Vemulawada Lions Club Lions Service Centre



Lion R K Raju pmjf., Inaugurated the works to be carried out to construct a Lions Bhavan by Vemulawada Lions Club at Vemulawada. Lion Minesh N Tandon, District Governor elect also attended the program. The Construction of the Lions Service Centre is on a 500 sq. yards land. The club is planning to have a service centre for vision care and also a few rooms to cater to the lions needs during their visit to the temple town. The Governor was kind enough to announce and hand over a cheque of Rs.10000/- to the club President Katakam Kishen for the building. The program was attended by me along with Lion Kola Anna Reddy, Lion Nagula Santhosh and the incoming and out going leaders of the club.

Service Highlights of the year

302 Eye Balls Collected and given vision to 604 persons.
9 Nine deceased Human Bodies collected and handed over to Medical Colleges.
10 Permanent Projects Started and Commissioned.
60 Lakhs worth material distributed to the flood victims of Mahboobnagar and Kurnool districts.
An MOU to construct 100 houses to the flood victims was signed with AP Housing Corporation Ltd., and advance cheque presented.
Hired a Hoarding to display the Lions International Activity and Motto in a prime area.

Permanent Houses to Flood Victims





On the eve of 17th District Convention, Sahyog, a MOU was signed with Andhra Pradesh Housing Corporation Limited in the presence of Shri Neerab K Prasad, IAS, to sponsor 150 permanent houses to the flood victims of Mahboobnagar distrit. The initial payment for the houses was handed over in the meeting. Shri Neerab K Prasad in his message thanked the Lions for coming forward and helping the needy in right time. He also appreciated the instant response from the members to sponsor 150 houses and assured all out support from their office. He appreciated the initiative taken up by the District Governor R K Raju in arranging the permanent shelters to the needy. As the scheme was announced and MOU was signed more than 118 houses were accepted by the clubs on the spot. Past District Governor Bhawarlal Jain motivated the Lions delegates and assured the AP Housing Corporation the support.

Sahyog District Convention




Sahyog our District Convention was held on Saturday 3rd April, 2010 at 4.30 pm at Tivoli Gardens, A/C hall, Secunderabad. The Chief Guest is Shri Neerabh K Prasad, IAS. District Governor R K Raju presided over the program. Colour ful Banners were presented by the club officers. The program was attended by 800 delegates from the district. A few guests have attended the program. It was hosted by Lions club of Secunderabad. On 4th April, in the business session a resolution was passed appreciating the self less services of District Governor. The delegates have unanimously elected as District Governor Minesh Narayan Tandon, first Vice District Mahesh K Agarwal, second Vice District Governor Dr.K.Rajender Reddy. They were felicitated by the district governor and all the delegates.

In a glittering function held on sunday, 14th march, 2010 at Lions Bhavan, Secunderabad all the lions of our district 324C 3 joined and honoured our beloved District Governor Lion R K Raju pmjf.,  The meeting was presided over by Lion Minesh Narayan Tandon, Vice District Governor I.  The program was organised by Lion Pramod Kumar Reddy, District Chairman -  DG Honouring.

Extension of New Club

Lions Club of Bejjanki has extended a new club in the district of Karimnagar Lions Club of Koheda on 3rd March, 2010. The Club members were indocrinated and inducted by Lion Dr. R Damodhara Chary, Region Chairman, and the new team of office bearers were installed by Lion Dr.D.Lavakumar Reddy, Immediated Past District Governor.
